Being part of the Community.
Our Group provides emergency radio communications for many of the outdoor events on the Galtee mountains and it's environs on behalf of local Communities and Clubs. Team members are trained in map reading skills, first aid, radio protocol and how to handle emergencies incidents in the great outdoors. On average we are called out six times per year to provide two way radio support for various events in the community. Some of the major events include The Glen of Aherlow Winter Walking Festival, The Annual Slievenamuck Marathon, The Galtee Crossing, The Summer Walking Festival, The Family Fun Day and Vintage Rally in Tipperary and The Winter Solstice Climb from Glenbrohane to Sliabh Ri on the 21st Dec with the Irish Red Cross.
